The XXV Festival of Ancient and Baroque Music kicks off with a spectacular presentation

From December 4 to 9, various venues in the capital, Cerro de San Pedro and Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, will host interesting concerts.

With a spectacular presentation, which shows the diversification of cultural, sports and artistic events promoted by the Governor of San Luis Potosí Ricardo Gallardo Cardona, this Sunday, December 4, the XXV Festival of Ancient and Baroque Music began with the Symphony Orchestra. from San Luis Potosí, who interpreted “El Mesías” a selection by Georg Friedrich Händel, under the direction of José Miramontes Zapata.

On behalf of the State President in this Festival, whose motto is “Music for everyone”, the Secretary of Culture, Elizabeth Torres Méndez, highlighted the importance of strengthening events that make culture an accessible place for everyone, for which reiterated the invitation to the activities that are free.

During the concert this Sunday, at the Temple of Carmen in the Historic Center, there was the participation of soloists such as Liliana del Conde, soprano; Grace Echauri, mezzo-soprano; Hector Coyol, baritone; José Manuel Caro, tenor; choral direction by Homar Sánchez Díaz and the Vuela Alto Choir.
