A specimen of the species known as “ghost dog” or “Amazon dog” was captured on video inside the Autonomous University of Beni, in Bolivia. The fact has been classified as of great importance within the scientific community.

Carlos Balderrama Torrico, an agronomist from the Autonomous University of Beni, was the one who recorded the “ghost dog” when it was loitering inside the campus facilities.

After managing to record the “Amazon dog” on video, he asked Marco Greminger, a veterinarian, for help and told him that the animal had taken refuge in an air duct that was not in use.

International media reported that one of the university students helped in the extraction plan of the “ghost dog”.

Said plan consisted of attracting the animal towards a cage using baits; once it worked, the “Amazon dog” was fed chicken and it was revealed that it came to eat ten pieces of hidalgo.

Finally, blood, tissue and hair samples were taken for study while the animal was released.
