They confirm sequels to ‘I am legend’ with Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan, and ‘Constantine’ with Keanu Reeves

Officially, both productions are being worked on thanks to a new agreement from Warner Bros.

The remembered film I am legend (2007) by Will Smith will have a sequel, adding by surprise the actor Michael B. Jordan as part of the cast.

According to a Deadline report, Akiva Goldsman has reached an agreement for the production company Weed Road to return to work with Warner Bros, so that some beloved franchises will return for years to come.

With this will come “the sequel to I Am Legend with Will and Michael B. Jordan, and the sequel to Constantine with Keanu Reeves to be directed by Francis Lawrence,” Goldsman said in a statement.

I Am Legend, which grossed $585 million worldwide, is also back, though it’s unclear how Michael B. Jordan’s inclusion will fit in since Smith’s character is presumably the last man on earth.

As for Constantine 2, a film that had already become known, he wrote the script himself with Lorenzo DiBonaventura and Erwin Stoff as executive producers of the project.

“This is a credit to Keanu, who has incessantly said, ‘this is the character I want to return to,'” Goldsman said. “Finally, he said it so many times that he stuck.”

“The character is very much Keanu and the way he and Francis saw the world of good and evil, and the wonderful, authentic noir where there’s a world behind the world of good and evil coexist with our world up close.”
