Ukrainian police and volunteers evacuated this Monday from the part that controls kyiv in the province of Kherson south of Ukraineto 366 children and minors which until now were exposed to Russian artillery attacks, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported on its Twitter account.
“366 children from the Kherson province have been evacuated by the police and volunteers,” said the Ministry in the note, collected today by the national news agency ukrinform. Until now these minors lived in the district of Beryslavlocated on the western shore of the dnipro riverwhich splits the Kherson province in two.
Russia has occupied the part that is to the east of the Dnipro river, while Ukraine controls the western bank, where the capital of the province, also called Kherson, is located.
The areas where the evacuated children lived “are being heavily attacked by Russian artillery”, said the Ministry in its note published on Twitter.

According to the Kherson Military Administration, the part of the province under kyiv control was bombed more than 70 times across Russia in the past 24 hoursin which Russian forces launched more than 360 attacks with heavy artillery.
Counterattacks in Bakhmut
The commander of the Ukrainian land forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Tuesday visited troops fighting in the besieged city of Bakhmutin the province of Donetsk east of Ukrainehours after he announced counterattacks in the city that they would have forced the Russians to “abandon some positions”.
“We continue to carry out the defensive and deterrent operation of the enemy in the east,” Sysrkyi said today on his Telegram channel, in a brief note in which he also said that he met with the commanders in charge of the Bakhmut area.

“Our commanders and our soldiers are the heroes of our time, they upset the enemy’s plans every day,” the statement also said, praising “the dedication and professionalism” of the Ukrainian military in Bakhmut.
During his visit to the area, Syrskyi discussed with the military how to “inflict the greatest number of casualties on the enemy” and continue to “ensure effective defense” of the part of the city still under Ukrainian control.
