They sent new suspicious envelopes to Ukrainian representations in Spain and Portugal

The Spanish Postal Service has detected three suspicious envelopes into which they had entered animal eyes and they were directed to Ukrainian embassy in Madrid and at Ukrainian consulates in Malaga and Barcelona.

According to police sources, the envelopes were located this Monday by the security systems of the Post Office, which reported it to the Police.

The agents ruled out the presence of explosive or explosive substances and verified that the envelopes contained animal eyes.

Due to their characteristics, these envelopes are similar to the one that arrived last Friday at the Ukrainian embassy and those received at other legations and consulates of that country accredited in various countries.

After the shipment intercepted on Friday, the Spanish Police informed Correos of the details of the envelope, which has helped to detect the three intercepted today.

Tax sources indicated this weekend that these six envelopes came from Valladolid, in Spain, and from the same author, who has not yet been identified.

Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Spokesman Oleh Nikolenkoconfirmed that the Spanish Police have seized the three envelopes today and there are already “21 cases of threats” to Ukrainian embassies and consulates in 12 countries.

“As Dmytro Kuleba (foreign minister) has already pointed out, Ukrainian diplomats must not be intimidated or broken. We will continue to work effectively to protect Ukraine from the enemy” and for victory, the spokesman said on Facebook, referring to Russia, which invaded the country on February 24.

Something similar happened in Lisbonbut the Public Security Police (PSP) of Portugal found no explosive material in the two suspicious packages detected today at the Ukrainian Embassy in Lisbon.

Members of the Special Unit of the Public Security Police (PSP), experts in deactivating explosives, went to the embassy after receiving an alert around 3:00 p.m. local time (same as GMT), but found nothing, local media reported.

The agents established a security perimeter and blocked traffic on Avenida das Descobertas, where the building is located.

The Internal Security System (SSI) announced last Friday that it would reinforce the protection of the Ukrainian embassy in Lisbon after the packages with explosives received by various entities in Spain.

In addition, the Portuguese Foreign Ministry asked its embassies to reinforce security in the mail received.
