UANL will celebrate XV years of the International Classical Guitar Festival

The celebration will have a series of activities in which prominent local, national and international guitarists will participate.

Starting this Monday, the UANL International Classical Guitar Festival will celebrate its first XV years of life with a series of activities in which prominent local, national and international guitarists will participate.

Organized annually since 2007 by the Faculty of Music of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, the festival returns to face-to-face, after two years of offering its programming virtually due to the pandemic.

This festival will take place from November 7 to 11 in venues such as the Aula Magna of the Colegio Civil Centro Cultural Universitario.

In the official announcement of the festival, Dr. José Javier Villarreal, head of the office of the Ministry of Extension and Culture; Dr. Mayela Villarreal, deputy director of the music faculty; and maestro Eduardo González, director of the international festival, highlighted the importance of disseminating an instrument as Mexican as the guitar, as well as promoting the young talents of the UANL.
