Ukrainian President, Volodimir Zelenskyannounced this Saturday a new package of sanctions that will affect some 650 people and related entities with the Kremlin arms trade, for “working for Russian aggression.”
“All those who help terrorists, work for them, who send or manufacture weapons for terrorist actions, no one will escape their responsibility.Zelensky warned.
“They are workers of the aggressor state, of its arms industry, hundreds of companies and collaborators”, he added.
On March 19, Zelensky sanctioned the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad for supporting the Russian invasion, through a decree that also establishes restrictive measures for other senior officials in his regime.
Measure blocks any assets that the Syrian regime may have in Ukraine and prohibits any commercial transaction in which it may be involved, actions that will be in force for a period of ten yearsas reported by the portal Kyiv Independent.
This new battery of sanctions also affects the Prime Minister of Syria, Hussein Arnusand the Foreign Minister, Faisal al Mikdadas well as 141 entities and 300 individuals from Syria and Russia.

Bashar al-Assad visited Russia at the beginning of March to convey to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putinhe Damascus support for Moscow regarding the illegal invasion of Ukraine where, according to him, the Russian Armed Forces they face “new and old Nazis” from Europe.
In the words of the Syrian dictator, talking about Nazis in Ukraine is justified because “The West accepted the old Nazis in their own land” in the middle of the last century, and now “supports them again” in the context of the war, according to statements collected by the agency TASS.
Meanwhile, the United States announced sanctions against five companies and one Chinese person whom he accuses of helping the Iranian regime to manufacture the drones it is sending to support Russian troops in Ukraine.
The US Treasury Department explained in a statement that the sanctioned companies are part of a China-based network that sells and supplies thousands of aerospace componentswhich can be used to make drones, to the Iranian Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA).

According to Washington, HESA is involved in the production of the drones shahed–136, which Tehran has been sending to Russia. This Iranian firm has been sanctioned by the United States since 2008 for its links to the Persian Ministry of Defense and for having supported the Revolutionary Guard.
Chinese companies designated by Washington are Koto Machinery and his Hong Kong-based “front” company, Raven International Trade Limitedas well as Guilin Alpha, S&C Trade and the firm Caspro. The penalized person is Yun Xia Yuanwho works for S&C Trade.
