Ukraine claimed that Russia is losing strength in Bakhmut and that it will be released “very soon”

Russia continues to try to gain full control of the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut (this) “despite losses in men and equipment”but their assaults are losing strength and the Ukrainian army “will take advantage of it very soon” to drive the Russians out of the area entirely.

It is the x-ray of the situation that the commander of the Ukrainian Land Forces, commander of the Ukrainian Land Forces, made this Thursday on his Telegram channel. Oleksandr Syrskyiwho also explained that the mercenaries of the wagner group they remain the main component of the Russian assaults on Bakhmut.

“They are losing strength and oxygen considerably,” Syrskyi said, adding that the Ukrainian troops “will very soon seize this opportunity as they already did in kyiv, Kharkiv, Balaklia and Kupyansk”, referring to territories previously besieged and occupied by Russia that have already been liberated by Ukraine.

In his message, the Ukrainian soldier praised the troops defending Bakhmut, which is still under Kiev control, for “the superhuman resilience, courage and courage that they demonstrate under continuous fire from enemy artillery and aviation.”

Bakhmut has been for months the hottest spot from the front in Ukraine.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) sees signs that Russia has slowed down its operations in Bakhmut. Moscow’s forces have made “marginal gains” in some areas, while Ukraine has launched counterattacks in others.

Zelensky visit

Ukrainian President, Volodimir Zelenskyvisited on Wednesday at troops of the Ukrainian armed forces who defend the city Bakhmutas announced by the Office of the President.

“I have the honor to be here today, in the east of our state, in Donbas, and honor our heroes”, Zelensky said addressing the troops, in a video of the visit distributed by the presidential administration.

“Thank you for protecting our State, our sovereignty and eastern Ukraine,” Zelensky added in his address to his troops during the meeting, which, as can be seen in the video, took place inside an industrial warehouse.

Zelensky received information about the situation in the area, where the tougher fights of the entire front for months, and observed a minute’s silence with the soldiers for all those who died in the defense of this Ukrainian municipality that Russia has been desperately trying to take since the summer.

The Ukrainian president also hugged and posed for photographs with the soldiers, from whom he received a signed battalion flag of which they are a part.

On his trip to eastern Ukraine, Zelensky also visited the hospital where soldiers defending Bakhmut are treated. The president decorated military and wounded doctors right there, whom he thanked “for protecting Ukraine” and wished “a speedy recovery.”

Zelensky received information on the situation in the area, where the hardest fighting on the entire front has been taking place for months, and kept a minute of silence with the soldiers for all the fallen in the defense of this Ukrainian municipality

According to a statement from the presidency, Zelensky was interested in the treatment they receive at the hospital, which has a surgery section and an intensive care section.

The Ukrainian leader stressed the importance of the work of the military doctors and thanked them for “healing the boys and girls who are at the front”.
