Ukraine claimed to have caused 750 casualties to the Russian army in the last 24 hours

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have affirmed this Tuesday that they have finished off 750 Russian soldiers during the combats registered in the last day and have raised to more than 108,000 the total number of Russian soldiers killed since the start of the invasion, unleashed on February 24 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has said in a message on its account on the social network Facebook that Since the start of the war, “about 108,190” Russian soldiers have diedbefore adding that they have been Destroyed 3,036 battle tanks, 2,033 artillery systems and 214 anti-aircraft defense systems.

Likewise, it has stressed that in the framework of the hostilities they have been destroyed 283 aircraft, 270 helicopters, 1,839 drones, 723 cruise missiles, 16 boats, 4,735 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 181 pieces of “special equipment”. “The figures are being updated,” she pointed out.

The spokesman for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army, Andriy Kovalev, stated in his daily report that “the enemy does not give up its plans to enter the administrative border of the Donetsk region” and explained that “the main efforts (of Russia) are focused on maintaining offensive potential and replacing losses, particularly at the expense of those mobilized.”

In this sense, he has pointed out that Russia has carried out six missile attacks and 52 bombing strikes in the last 24 hours, including 36 against “civilian infrastructure”. In addition, Ukrainian forces have shot down 27 suspected Iranian-made drones.

“The enemy, who is trying to take full control of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, is concentrating its efforts on carrying out offensive operations in Bakhmut,” he pointed out, while stressing that Russia “is making attempts to improve the tactical position in the direction of Liman and Avdiivka”.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed on Monday the death of more than 60 soldiers in an attack carried out by the Ukrainian Army with a high mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS) against a town in the Donetsk region (east) , controlled by the pro-Russian authorities.

the battle of Kherson

The attacks by Ukrainian forces on enemy positions in the Kherson region (south of the country) have caused 500 of the 750 casualties among Russian soldiers, according to the report released Tuesday by the Ukrainian general staff.

“Casualties among the invading forces are around 500 dead and wounded,” according to the balance released today through the Facebook account of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The figures refer to the offensive that began on the night of Saturday 31 in one of the areas occupied by the Russians in Kherson, which continued on Sunday and also on Monday in different locations in that area.

According to that report, the Ukrainian artillery is “effectively” attacking the Russian positions and is also neutralizing the drones launched by the Russians against theirs.

In total, 32 Russian attacks were registered in the region, which mainly hit civilian targets, including a public building, as well as apartment blocks.

Russia recognized yesterday the death of 63 Russian soldiers as a result of the impact of a Ukrainian missile against a barracks in the town of Makiivka, in Donetsk, annexed by Moscow last September.
