The governor of the Ukrainian Kherson region, Oleksander Prokudindenounced this Saturday that the russian armed forces they shot some 325 shells with various types of weapons against its territory, located in the southeast of the country.

“Over the last day, the enemy launched 69 attacks firing 325 shells with mortars, artillery, Grads (mass launch missile systems), unmanned aerial vehicles and tanks,” Prokudin wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the governor, at least 14 of the shells fell on the city of Kherson, the regional capital. Prokudin assured that No civilian casualties were reported from the attacks.

Local authorities ordered evacuations this Thursday in this region in the south of the country, partially controlled by Russian forces and regularly bombed.

“The Regional Defense Council of Kherson “decided to compulsorily evacuate families with children from those localities subjected to constant bombing by the Russian enemy,” the governor of the entity indicated on Telegram.

In this region, Russian troops control the areas south of the Dnieper river, after having withdrawn last year from the regional capital, which is regularly bombed.

Prokudin also said that regional authorities are preparing to “emergency situations” in the electricity supply during the coming autumn and winter.

Last year, Russia carried out a massive bombing campaign against Ukrainian electrical infrastructure, causing constant power outages.

Attack in Sumy

This Friday, Russian forces attacked several Ukrainian communities located on the border of the Sumy Oblastcausing 73 explosions and material damageaccording to the local military administration.

Two houses and two outbuildings caught fire in the community of Seredyna-Buda after the Russian army dropped 12 mines about the area, the source said in a statement posted on Telegram. A residential building was also damaged by the projectiles.

Four other communities –Yunakivka, Khotin, Krasnopillia and Velyka Pysarivka- They also suffered attacks with artillery, grenade launchers, rocket launches, mortars and tank bombardments, the military administration added.

Residents of vulnerable communities in Sumy province live under constant risk of daily attacks launched by Russian forces, who have intensified their offensive in recent months.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine assured that Russia has suffered 271,790 military casualties since it began its invasion of Ukraine on February 24 of last year.

According to the report, Russian forces lost 350 soldiers on the last day of fightingin which they faced Ukrainian troops on several fronts.

The Ukrainian General Staff also claimed that Russia lost thousands of military equipment, including tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, aircraft, helicopters, drones and warships.

Russia has neither confirmed nor denied the figures provided by Ukraine, but accused kyiv of causing the conflict to escalate.
