Ukraine responded to almost a hundred Russian attacks in just 24 hours

He ukrainian army responded in the last 24 hours to about 90 Russian attacks directed mainly against areas of the northeast and east of Ukrainewhere the greatest combats between both sides are concentrated.

As reported on Thursday General Staff of the Ukrainian Armythe Russian offensive is concentrated in the Kharkiv region, in the northeast, and in the neighboring Luhansk and Donetskin the east, both bordering with Russia.

“Ukraine repelled attacks near Kupianskin the east of the Kharkiv region, not far from neighboring luhanskand in the populations of Lyman, Bakhmut, Adviika and Shakhtarskin Donetsk”, where, according to the General Staff, “Russia is concentrating its main offensive efforts”.

Precisely, in the strategic town of Bakhmut, the Ukrainian army ensures that the clashes continue “street by street”, since control of the area would allow either side to have a safe corridor to transport weapons and soldiers.

The General Staff also reported that Russia launched 19 air strikes and 37 multiple launch rocket system strikes over the past day, causing damage to towns and villages and injuring an unspecified number of civilians.

kyiv ensures that Moscow maintains its strong offensive in the zone to achieve total control over Donetskone of the four regions that Moscow unilaterally annexed last September and has not yet been able to fully occupy it.

“Local militias supported by Russia and private mercenary groups, such as the wagner groupbacked by the KremlinThey have been helping the Russian regular forces in the area and have suffered heavy losses,” the Ukrainian Army said, quoted by local agencies.

He also warned that the threat that Russia launch missile attacks “remains high throughout Ukraine” and, for this reason, the Ukrainian authorities maintain a reinforcement of security measures throughout the country, which tomorrow will live the first anniversary of the start of the invasion.

Also in the south-east of Ukraine, in the region of Khersonthere were attacks this Wednesday that killed, according to the regional administration, at least two civilians.

“The Russian occupiers fired 71 shots in the Kherson region. They attacked with various weapons: MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems), mortars, artillery, tanks and unmanned aerial vehicles,” regional authorities said.

This region is partly occupied by the Russian Army, which withdrew to the left bank of the Dnieper River last January, splitting it in two.
