Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, lowered expectations of expected spring counteroffensive (boreal) of ukrainian armywhile asked for more weaponsin an interview published this Wednesday in the newspaper Bild.

Do not consider this counteroffensive the lastbecause we don’t know what will come out of it. And if with this counteroffensive we succeed in liberating our territories, then in the end they will say, yes, it was the last one, but if not, then that means that we have to prepare for the next counteroffensivehe declared.

Kuleba stressed that Ukraine need much more weapons for their fight against the Russian occupation forces.

“From the tactical point of view, it is naturally about weapons, because To win the war you need weapons, weapons and more weapons. Germany has many, and much depends on Germany“, with rheinmetall “as a kind of titan of the arms industry in Europe and probably in the world.”

“We need artillery ammunition, especially for long distances. We need armored vehicles, we need air defense systems, all of that is available in Germany and Germany has supplied. AND Germany can supply even more“, he claimed.

Ukraine also needs fighter jets and in this case, since the F-16 is not a German technology, what Kiev expects of Germany is “to play an active role in building a coalition of countries.”

Unlike what happens with the Leopard tanks, in this case the decision does not correspond to Germany, but to USA.

He pointed out that if Germany can send MiG fighters, “that would be useful, but it does not solve the problem”, because what is at issue is not the quantity, but the quality of the aircraft, and in this sense, “the F-16 is the best” what is on the market.

Kuleba said not to underestimate Russia’s potential, “but the last 14 months of war have shown that the Ukrainians can win”, he affirmed, but, according to the minister, it is not so much a question of the number of soldiers, as of the equipment and weapons.

“And that is why the arms industry is so important. Not only to help Ukraine win this war and protect Europe, but also to replenish its own reserves”, he stated.

The “top priority,” according to Kuleba, is for Germany and other countries to produce more ammunition and weapons.
