Ukraine warned on Tuesday that if Russia finally takes control of the country, Vladimir Putin’s next goal will be to invade Kazakhstan.

“I can say for sure that if (Russian President Vladimir) Putin succeeds on the territory of our country, then Kazakhstan will be next. In addition, it will not stop before Armenia or other countries,” said the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Oleksii Danilov.

Thus, the secretary of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Council acknowledged that he was unaware of the reasons that have led the Kazakh president, Kasim Yomart Tokayevand other leaders of the region to participate in the events for Victory Day in Moscow.

“I don’t know what prompted them to go. Let’s see how events unfold,” Danilov said, lamenting the presence of Tokayev and his counterparts from Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, among others.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has previously stated in this regard, calling the presence of these regional leaders alongside Putin in Moscow’s Red Square during the military parade “immoral and hostile”.

The Ukrainian diplomatic portfolio regretted that these nations, which collaborated for the Allied victory during World War II, are now being “used by the Kremlin” for a celebration that has nothing to do with the feat of the victors of Nazism”.

Russia celebrated on Tuesday what is known as Victory Day, the date on which the Allied victory over Nazi Germany during World War II is commemorated. Putin was accompanied in the podium of authorities by some of his main allies.

Among them were the presidents of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko; that of Tajikistan, Emomali Rajmon; that of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Khaparov; that of Kyrgyzstan, Shavkat Mirziyoev; that of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov; and the Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyanas well as the aforementioned Tokayev.

As part of the celebrations, Putin assured that his country is in the midst of a “real war” declared by the West, which he accused of forgetting the lessons of World War II.

“Against our homeland a real war has been unleashed again. But we resist international terrorism and we will also defend the people of Donbas and guarantee our security,” the Russian president said on Red Square during the lackluster military parade.

Accompanied by ninety-year-old veterans of the world war, but isolated from the rest of the world, Putin took advantage of the most important date on the Russian calendar to harangue the troops fighting in Ukraine, whose victory is more than in question at this point in the campaign.

Putin assured that “now there is nothing more important” for the Kremlin than “the special military operation”, on whose success, he admitted, the security and future of the country depend.

In fact, the parade was preceded by a new night bombardment against kyiv, hours before the arrival in the city of the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

From his pulpit next to Lenin’s mausoleum, he once again gave the West a history lesson, warning that, like Hitler, “unlimited ambition, arrogance and permissiveness inevitably lead to tragedy.”
