The Ukrainian military intelligence denied this tuesday any kyiv’s involvement in the drone attack on the Kremlin recently denounced by Moscow and pointed to the opposition from within Russia and from various factions confronted within the spheres of Russian power as possible perpetrators of the alleged attack.

“There is an official position of Ukraine and of the Ukrainian leadership: no, we are not involved and we do not need something like that”, said the spokesman for Ukrainian military intelligence, Andriy Yusovwho added that Ukraine focuses all its actions on “vacation” of their territories invaded by Russia.

Yusov suggested the possibility that the drone strike was launched by resistance forces against the Russian president, Vladimir Putinwithin the country, and asked to also hold the factions that would be fighting for power within the Kremlin itself as responsible.

Yusov made these statements in an interview with the Ukrainian press quoted today by Ukrainian military intelligence on its Telegram channel.

At the same time, the Ukrainian intelligence spokesman stated that he does not rule out that the attack was a diversionary maneuver orchestrated by Putin.

The Russian authorities accused last Wednesday Ukraine to try to attack the kremlin with two drones during the night, in an attempt to assassinate Putin.

“Tonight the Kiev regime tried to hit the residence of the President of the Russian Federation with unmanned aerial vehicles,” the Kremlin said in a statement posted on its website.

The Kremlin blacked out the alleged attempted attack by “terrorist act” and claimed that the Russian military and security forces had disabled the drones before they could attack.

The Kremlin did not present any evidence of the reported incident and his statement included few details.
