Volodimir Zelensky visited wounded soldiers at the Kiev military hospital on Sundaywhere he gave them a medal in recognition of their sacrifices in the armed clashes for the invasion of Russia.
On his social networks, the Ukrainian president shared images of his visit to the soldiers, wishing them a speedy recovery, and added: “I think the best gift for your statement will be our common victory.”
In the images, it can be seen how Zelensky also congratulates and thanks the nurses and doctors for their arduous task of assisting soldiers wounded in combat.
In full Russian advance on Ukrainian territory, the head of state announced this Sunday that the besieged city of Mariupol, in the southeast of the country and which, according to several NGOs, is suffering a serious humanitarian crisis, will receive the first aid shipment in just a few hours with essential groceries.

Despite the brutality of Vladimir Putin’s troops, this Saturday Zelensky assured that the losses of the Russian army “are colossal”.
“The losses of the Russian troops are colossal. The dynamics of the invaders’ losses on the 17th is already such that we can say with confidence – this is the biggest blow to the Russian army in decades. They never had so many losses in such a number of days, ”said the Ukrainian president in a video broadcast on social networks of him.
“The Russian army surrenders not only individually, but in entire groups… The invaders’ losses in technical capabilities are simply staggering”he added.
He also warned that if Putin seeks to take control of Kiev, “he will have to raze it and kill its inhabitants”: “Kiev is a symbol of resistance preparing for a fierce defense”.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, Zelensky has achieved great popularity among the population for his leadership and his call to resist the aggression of Putin’s troops.
In recent days, local authorities indicated that the Ukrainian president survived “more than a dozen” assassination attempts by Russian mercenaries. However, the president warned that he will not give in to Putin’s threats: “I stay in Kyiv. In my office. I don’t hide and I’m not afraid of anyone.”

One of the groups that tried to assassinate Zelensky, 44, was the Wagner Group, which has 400 members based in Kiev. The mercenaries infiltrated the Ukrainian capital with a list of 24 names to kill. The main mission was to assassinate the national leader in order to overthrow his government and place one that is controlled by Moscow.
The list of targets also included the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the entire cabinet, the mayor of Kiev, Vitaly Klitschkoand his brother, Wladimir.
