Volodimir Zelensky will meet this Friday with Ursula von der Leyen in kyiv

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will meet this Friday in kyiv with the President of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen.reported a spokesman for the Ukrainian leader, according to the Ukrinform portal.

The purpose of the visit is address the fifth package of sanctions against Russia that is being prepared at European level and that, according to the EC proposal, will include the embargo on Russian coal imports.

“It will not be the last package of sanctions”said the spokesman for the Ukrainian president.

The Community Executive already advanced last Tuesday the purpose of Von der Leyen and the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, to travel to kyiv this week.

The visit to the Ukrainian capital will precede the event stand up for ukrainewhich will take place on Saturday in Warsaw and will also be attended by Von der Leyen and Borrell.
