In this regard, Podoliak added that in order to damage Russia’s logistics bases, Ukrainian forces need long range missiles.
The adviser acknowledged that Russia has an air advantage, a situation that could be matched by the installation of new air defense systems and with F-16 fighter jets.

“If these renditions speed up, the course of the war will also speed up,” Podoliak said, criticizing the initial slowness of western military support in 2022.
In more general terms, the adviser assured that Ukraine’s military operations are not only “a counteroffensive, but a royal attack”.
“The attack is being carried out according to the schedule previously established by the General Staff,” he said.
When discussing possible negotiations with Russia, Podoliak opined that in Moscow “there is no political leadership that could ensure the commitments made.”
On the tense relations between Ukraine and Hungary, Zelensky’s adviser stated that the Hungarian prime minister, the ultranationalist Viktor Orban, repeat russian propagandawhen he talks, among other things, about stopping arms shipments to the neighboring country.

The Hungarian Government, considered the Moscow’s best ally in the European Unioncriticizes the community sanctions against Russia despite having so far approved all the punitive packages.
“We consider the Hungarian Prime Minister’s statements to be very damaging. He does not understand what is happening in the world and especially in the war. He is destroying common European values with his statements,” Podoliak added.
While kyiv claims that Hungary follows Russian interests, Budapest accuses Ukraine of not respecting the rights of the 150,000-strong Magyar minority living in the neighboring country.
The advisor assured in this regard that “Ukraine does not violate the rights of any minority” and added that “if there is a need for dialogue, it must be carried out. I don’t think it’s hard to find a solution.”
